The Keyhole of Longs Peak created this really unique rainbow. This is the western side of the route. It's crazy how much of a sheer drop it is compared to the easterly route. As the sun was perfectly aligned with the Keyhole, it mixed with the blowing fog and allowed some unique perspective. -BP-
The wind was truly atrocious! One had to really work to stay standing upright. My back was at the literal edge of a 3,000 foot cliff. There was definitely a pucker factor. -BP-
This image is a two image blend for the exposure. I shot it handheld in 40-50 int winds whilst leaning against a rock for stability. Seriously, the wind was insane. The clouds were whipping by their freezing mist. Brr! The mountains aren't for the week of heart. -BP-
